Tommy Shelton Simmons 88, of Leland passed on January 3, 2026. He was born on May 21, 1937, in Brunswick County, the son of the late Isaac Simmons and Margaret Smith Simmons.
He is survived by sons, Tommy II and wife Donna of Longs, S.C, Gary and wife Rose of Bolton, Darius and wife Lesia of Bolton, Robert of Bolton; daughter, Harriet Gore and husband Mark of Ash, N.C.; brothers, Ted and wife Yvonne of Ash, Isaac and wife Ruby of Bolton, Cordell and wife Sue of Ash; sisters, Bonnie Rogers of Boiling Spring Lakes; grandchildren, Cecelia Smith and husband Dustin, Maggie Simmons; great grandchildren, Hayla Smith, Jaina Smith, Amber Gore, Cailee Gore & Danni Lee Gore.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Daniel Gore.
His graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Shiloh Memorial Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joey Canady officiating.
