Shallotte within Walmart, Supply build, and Southport project all move forward with zoning and site‑plan approvals

Brunswick County, NC — Fast‑growing commercial corridor is about to get a major caffeine boost. Three new Dunkin’ locations have cleared key pre‑construction steps, with site plans approved and zoning permits issued for projects in Shallotte, Supply, and Southport.
The expansion reflects the chain’s continued push into high‑traffic coastal markets — a strategy aligned with its well‑known slogan, “America Runs on Dunkin’.”

Shallotte: Dunkin’ coming to Walmart on Main Street
Shoppers at the Shallotte Walmart will soon have a new grab‑and‑shop option.
A Dunkin’ shop is set to open inside the Walmart at 4540 Main Street, adding the national coffee chain to the store’s lineup of in‑house services. Construction timelines have not yet been announced, but the location has been approved to move forward.

Supply: New standalone Dunkin’ planned near N.C. 211 and U.S. 17
A second project is underway in Supply, where Dunkin’ will build a standalone shop near the intersection of N.C. Highway 211 and Highway 17, just north of Blanton Road. The new store will sit on the property where the Old Church Antiques building is presently – the large pink building that has long served as a local landmark. Officials have confirmed that site plans and zoning permits for the Supply location have been approved, allowing the project to enter the next phase of development.

Southport: Dunkin’ proposed for Long Beach Road corridor
A third Dunkin’ is in the works for Southport, where plans call for a new shop at 4875 Long Beach Road, in the commercial area anchored by the Food Lion shopping center and the Hampton Inn & Suites. The project has received pre‑construction site‑plan approval, clearing the way for future development activity on the site.

What’s next?
With zoning permits issued, and site plans approved, all three locations are positioned to advance toward construction. Opening timelines will depend on contractor scheduling, permitting steps, and corporate build‑out requirements.
As Brunswick County continues to grow, the addition of multiple Dunkin’ stores underscore the region’s expanding commercial demand and the chain’s confidence in the area’s steady flow of residents, commuters, and visitors.
