Teen Suspect Accused of Vandalizing Cerro Gordo Business

CERRO GORDO — A 15‑year‑old is accused of causing significant damage to a business bathroom during a vandalism incident Wednesday morning.

Deputies responded to 7294 Andrew Jackson Highway around 11:21 a.m. for reports of graffiti and property destruction. The incident report lists three offenses: Graffiti Vandalism, Willful and Wanton Injury to Real Property, and Disorderly Conduct. Document citation: “Offense Description: 90Z – Graffiti Vandalism… Willful and Wanton Injury to Real Property… Disorderly Conduct.”

The damaged bathroom was valued at $800, according to the property section of the report.

Because the suspect is a juvenile, the name is not released. Juvenile cases are handled through the Department of Juvenile Justice rather than adult courts.

All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
