Taylor Farms in the Spotlight Again; Recalls for 20 Refrigerated Products Due to Salmonella Risk

Taylor Fresh Foods, the parent company of Taylor Farms, has initiated a voluntary recall affecting 20 distinct refrigerated grocery items. The decision follows a broader investigation into potential Salmonella contamination originating from fresh jalapeños sourced from a specific grower in Sinaloa, Mexico.

The recalled items encompass a wide range of prepared food products, including various salsas, pico de gallo, dips, guacamole, and select individual prepared meals such as wraps, burritos, and sandwiches. Small individual cups of diced jalapeños are also included in the recall announcement.

These products were distributed to several major national retail chains throughout 26 states, including Walmart, Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Kroger, Hannaford, and Stop & Shop. Consumers are urged to inspect any refrigerated products in their possession. The affected inventory bears “Best If Used By” dates up to and including August 16, 2026.

While Taylor Farms has stated that there have been no reports of illnesses linked directly to their specific prepared products at this time, the recall is a precautionary measure. Customers who find these products in their kitchens are advised to dispose of them immediately or return the items to the original point of purchase to secure a full refund.
