TABOR CITY, N.C. — A Tabor City resident is facing felony obstruction of justice and burglary charges after allegedly entering a local property unlawfully and attempting to intimidate a state witness in an active criminal matter.
Deputies apprehended the defendant on August 7 following an investigation into repeated unlawful entries and threats directed toward a witness cooperating with law enforcement. Under state law, intimidating a witness is classified as a severe felony offense aimed at protecting the integrity of the judicial system.
