WHITEVILLE, N.C. — A traffic stop at the Columbus Corners shopping plaza culminated in felony narcotics charges and a probation violation arrest late Monday night.
According to incident log #26-1800 filed by Deputy Travis E. Tyson, officers stopped a Pontiac Grand Am at 101 Columbus Corners Drive. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of cocaine, eight dosage units of unidentified prescription pills, glass containers with white residue, scoopers, and cut straws used for drug ingestion. A records check confirmed the driver had active felony probation violation warrants on file.
