Community Brief: Commercial Structure Fire at Government Complex

Bolivia Fire Department ( and multiple mutual‑aid agencies responded to a commercial structure fire at the Brunswick County Government Complex. During the over night hours, crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the garage area of the building.
Firefighters made entry and began suppression efforts, locating an ambulance in the rear bay with active fire extending to the surrounding structure. Thanks to the quick actions of initial crews, the fire was contained to the garage and the ambulance, preventing further spread throughout the facility.
Personnel remained on scene to ventilate the building and conduct overhaul operations to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
Mutual aid assistance was provided by Stations 4, 6, 13, 18, 37, and Brunswick County EMS.
