Sunset Beach, NC — The USPS says the switch back to the ocean side comes after a fresh safety review of the delivery route. Carriers reported that delivering from the north side required more risky maneuvers including crossing traffic and pulling out from tight, low‑visibility spots along Main Street.
The ocean side offers a clearer approach and a safer line of travel, especially during the busy beach season when traffic and pedestrian activity increase.
