One person hospitalized with life‑threatening injuries; investigation ongoing

Myrtle Beach Police officers responded to a reported shooting on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at approximately 9:01 p.m. in the 500 block of 38th Avenue North at the Americana Apartments.
When officers arrived, they located one person suffering from life‑threatening injuries. The individual was transported for medical treatment. Police say residents may notice an increased law enforcement presence in the area as the investigation continues.
