Deputies uncover trafficking‑level cocaine and a firearm during investigation into suspected drug activity
The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office says a January 15, operation by its Vice and Narcotics Unit led to four arrests and the seizure of more than 100 grams of cocaine and a handgun.
Deputies, assisted by the Special Operations Unit, conducted several traffic stops targeting individuals suspected of distributing cocaine within the county. During the first stop, investigators located trafficking‑level quantities of cocaine along with a firearm. A second stop involving a related vehicle uncovered additional cocaine, and deputies determined that the driver had a juvenile in the vehicle while participating in a narcotics transaction.
