Second session added to meet regional demand for VA benefits assistance

By BCNews Staff Writer

Following the strong response to the February 13 Veterans Benefits outreach event, the Veterans Benefits Administration will return to the Veterans Community Outreach Center later this month to assist more Veterans with enrolling in VA benefits and answering benefits‑related questions.

The first session, hosted by Veterans Memorial Park of America, welcomed Veterans from across Southeastern North Carolina and beyond. Organizers reported steady attendance throughout the day, with many participants seeking help with claims, enrollment, and general benefits guidance. Because of that turnout, a second date has been added to ensure every Veteran who needs assistance has the opportunity to receive it.

The upcoming session is open to all Veterans, regardless of the county or state they reside in. Those with questions about benefits or those who need help getting signed up are encouraged to schedule an appointment.
