Columbus County DREAM Center program returns June 22 with academics, STEAM, and field trips for ages 6 – 15.

The Columbus County DREAM Center is preparing to welcome students back for its annual Safe Haven Summer Enrichment Camp. The six‑week program runs June 22 through July 30, offering a blend of academic review, STEAM activities, and field trips designed to keep local children engaged throughout the summer.

The camp operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and is open to youth ages 6 to 15. Weekly participation is $60.00, a rate that organizers say helps keep the program accessible for families across the county.

Located at 403 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Whiteville, the DREAM Center has long served as a community hub for educational support and youth programming. The summer enrichment camp is one of its most anticipated offerings, giving students a structured environment that mixes learning with hands‑on exploration and outdoor fun.

Parents and guardians can contact the DREAM Center at 910.642.0633 for more information about registration, summer camp spot availability, and program details.
