RIEGELWOOD — A Riegelwood woman reported significant damage to her Dodge Caravan Monday afternoon, prompting a property‑damage investigation by the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Zachary Morris responded to 17 Mookie Lane at 4:34 p.m., where Anitria Lashawn Mccoy, 49, reported that her vehicle had been damaged. The incident report lists the loss at $10,000.

While no suspect was named, deputies say vehicle‑damage complaints often accompany domestic disputes or neighborhood conflicts. Columbus County has logged more than 40 property‑damage calls since January, many involving vehicles.

The case remains under investigation.
