Residents urged to hang up immediately and report suspicious calls
City of Whiteville, NC — The Whiteville Police Department is alerting residents to reports of a scam caller claiming to be “Sgt. Michael Strickland” and attempting to obtain personal information.
According to officials, the caller is not associated with the department. Residents who receive one of these calls are urged to hang up immediately and avoid sharing any personal or financial information.
