A welcoming chance to share coffee, conversation, and community with local officers.

WHITEVILLE, NC — The Whiteville Police Department is inviting residents to stop by The Etna Diner on Thursday, February 6 at 8:00 a.m. for a relaxed Coffee with a Cop meet‑and‑greet. The diner is located at 703 N. Madison Street.

The event offers a simple way for neighbors to connect with local officers outside a formal setting. There’s no agenda, just conversation over a cup of coffee.

Coffee with a Cop is designed to build trust, and encourage open dialogue in a casual space. Whiteville residents can ask questions, share concerns, or learn more about day‑to‑day police work. Officers set aside distractions to focus solely on community conversation.

The program supports community‑oriented policing by helping both residents and officers better understand each other’s perspectives. Informal chats will often lead to stronger relationships and clearer communication.

The event is open to all.
