Traffic diverted for two hours at Bill Hooks and Peacock Roads

North Whiteville Volunteer Fire Department responded to a two‑vehicle motor‑vehicle accident at the intersection of Bill Hooks Road and Peacock Road on Sunday, June 21.
The call was received at 6:00 p.m. Emergency personnel remained on scene for about two hours while assisting with the incident and ensuring the safety of responders and motorists. Traffic was diverted in all four directions during the response period.
North Whiteville VFD expressed appreciation to Whiteville Rescue, Chadbourn Rescue, the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, and the North Carolina Highway Patrol for their quick response and assistance.
