A Brunswick County grand jury has formally indicted Nigel Max Edge on a series of charges, including three counts of first‑degree murder, in connection with the mass shooting that occurred in Southport last fall.

According to court records, the indictment was returned on January 5 and lists murder charges for the deaths of Solomon Banjo, Joy Rogers and Michael Durbin. Edge also faces several counts of attempted first‑degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury, and discharging a firearm into an occupied property.

The charges stem from the September 27 shooting at American Fish Company, a waterfront bar where Edge is accused of opening fire on patrons.

He remains held without bond at the Brunswick County Detention Center.

Edge’s next court appearance is scheduled for February 2.
