Michael (Mike) Leschick, 82, passed away at home on June 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Pottsville, PA on January 1, 1944 to the late Michael and Margaret Leschick.
A Vietnam veteran, Mike served as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy. He later trained in Parris Island before his combat mission deployment to Laos and Cambodia.
After his Naval service, Mike joined the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 542, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator and master mechanic for 35 years.
Upon retirement, Mike fulfilled his lifelong dream of retiring to Myrtle Beach with his beloved wife, Carolyn.
A devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, he would always be found cheering them on each season. Each year, Mike enjoyed his hunting trips to Pennsylvania during deer season. He was an avid golfer who looked forward to every Sunday out on the course with his daughter. Mike was never one to sit still. If he wasn’t running around, he was cooking up something in the kitchen, working around the house, dancing to his favorite oldies (especially The Temptations), or spending evenings out to eat with his wife at their favorite spot, Greg’s Cabana.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Carolyn Leschick (Fix); daughter Kristen Leschick; sister Alexandra (Sandy) Cuono (Jim); nieces Cesya and Abrea Cuono; and extended family and friends, including everyone at Scores who were like family to him.
Mike was a legend in his own right and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He touched many lives through his stories, wisdom, humor, spirit of perseverance, and most of all, his unwavering support of those he loved.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday June 23, 2026 at 11:00am at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, 503 37th Ave N, Myrtle Beach, SC
