Loris Driver Stacked with Failure to Appear Warrants in Columbus County

WHITEVILLE, NC — A South Carolina driver was processed into the Columbus County Detention Center on Thursday afternoon after being taken into custody on a stack of outstanding court warrants.

Deputies arrested 35-year-old John Christopher Causey of Loris, SC, at approximately 5:55 p.m. on July 23.

Causey was served with multiple outstanding warrants stemming from missed court dates in the county, including one count of felony failure to appear and five counts of misdemeanor failure to appear. A magistrate issued a total combined $14,000 secured bond for his release while he awaits new court dates.

Any individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
