Officials urge residents to stay off roads as icy conditions persist
The Town of Leland will close all Town facilities on Monday, February 2 as winter weather continues to create hazardous travel conditions across the region.
The closure includes Town Hall, the Leland Cultural Arts Center, and the Municipal Operations Center.
Town officials report that roads throughout the area are dangerous and slick, and they are strongly urging residents to avoid travel unless absolutely necessary to help keep both the public and first responders safe.
Any changes to Town operations will be posted on the Town’s website as conditions evolve. Residents experiencing an emergency should call 911.
