Large Farm Equipment Stolen in Chadbourn; Investigation Underway

Chadbourn, NC — Sheriff Deputies are investigating a major larceny after more than $52,000 worth of farm equipment was reported stolen from a property on Merrit Road in Chadbourn.

Deputy D.J. Green responded at 7:05 a.m. on June 24. The victim, Micheal Sean Fetcher, 55, reported the theft of:

– John Deere front‑end loader ($6,000) – John Deere 5055E tractor ($45,000) – Rotary tiller, model TXG‑050‑0 ($1,814.75)

The offense was classified as Larceny, and no suspect information was listed in the report.

A search of public court records shows no recent arrests connected to the theft. The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office has not released additional details.
