Lake Waccamaw Man Faces Multiple Charges After Trespassing, Larceny, and Resisting Arrest

LAKE WACCAMAW — A Lake Waccamaw man is facing a long list of misdemeanor charges after deputies responded to a trespassing call Wednesday morning.

Derrick Oneal Spaulding, 28, was arrested around 9:22 a.m. and charged with second‑degree trespass (two counts), misdemeanor larceny (two counts), resisting a public officer, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Document citation: “SECOND DEGREE TRESPASS… MISDEMEANOR LARCENY… RESISTING PUBLIC OFFICER… POSSESS DRUG PARAPHERNALIA.”

Spaulding received multiple $2,000 secured bonds for the trespassing and resisting charges.

Deputies did not release details about the items allegedly stolen, but misdemeanor larceny typically involves property valued under $1,000.

All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
