Katherine Ann Clewis Heimnick, age 76 of the Crusoe Island community of Whiteville, passed away on June 2, 2026, at Columbus Regional Healthcare.
Katherine was born on December 26, 1949, to the late Dallas Clewis and Rena Etheridge Clewis. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Betty Brown, Roger Clewis, Robert Dale Clewis, Jerry Clewis, Ray Clewis, and Earl Clewis.
Services will be held at a later date.
Surviving family includes her husband, Mark Heimnick; daughter, Joanne Milliken Long (Randy); step-children, Melinda Crisp (Brian), John Heimnick II (Sallie); granddaughter, Leah Long; step-grandchildren, Mabel Crispturner (Sam), Martha Crisp, Christopher Heimnick, and Marcus Heimnick; sister, Greta Blackman; nieces, Megan Loony and Ashley Clewis; great-nephew, Dallas Lewis; and a host of extended family.
