Investigators are asking residents in both Brunswick and Columbus counties to review any available camera footage that may help locate 49‑year‑old Cyrena Anderson, a South Carolina woman reported missing on May 19.
BC News Prior Coverage
Horry County, NC — The Horry County Police Department (HCPD), working with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, is seeking video from doorbell cameras, home security systems, business surveillance, and trail cameras recorded on May 14 and May 15, 2026. Detectives are specifically looking for any footage that may have captured a red Ford F‑150 pickup truck traveling through the Green Swamp region.
Search Area Includes Columbus County
While the initial request focused on Brunswick County, investigators confirmed that the search area extends into Columbus County, where the Green Swamp ecosystem and Highway 211 continue across the county line. The expanded area includes:
Green Swamp Road – Brunswick and Columbus counties
Green Swamp Preserve
Highway 214
Highway 211, including the Columbus County communities of Bolton and Delco
The Supply area of Brunswick County
Detectives say the truck may have traveled through multiple rural corridors between Supply, the Green Swamp, Bolton, and Delco during the two‑day window.
Background on the Investigation
Anderson was last known to be at the Forestbrook‑area home she shared with her husband, Danny L. Osborne. Osborne initially told investigators that Anderson left their residence early on May 13, but HCPD later announced that evidence contradicts his account. By early June, Osborne had been named a person of interest in the case.
Osborne is currently being held in North Carolina on unrelated domestic‑violence protective‑order violations originating in Brunswick County. Investigators have emphasized that these charges are not connected to Anderson’s disappearance, but his movements in both Brunswick and Columbus counties on May 14–15 remain a central focus of the search.
What Investigators Need From the Public
Residents, hunters, landowners, and businesses in the listed areas are urged to check any recorded footage from May 14 and May 15 for a red Ford F‑150. Even brief or partial sightings may help investigators reconstruct the vehicle’s route.
Anyone with information or relevant footage is asked to contact the Horry County Police Department Tip Line at 843.915.8477 (TIPS).
