SURFSIDE BEACH, SC — Horry County law enforcement is investigating an assault reported late Saturday night, July 18, on the beachfront at Ocean Lakes Family Campground.
According to preliminary incident details, officers responded following a report involving a victim who stated he was attacked by a group of approximately eight men. The altercation occurred at around 11:45 p.m. on the beach in front of 6001 South Kings Highway.
The victim sustained injuries during the incident and was subsequently transported to the Little River Emergency Room for medical evaluation and treatment.
The investigation remains active as authorities review the circumstances surrounding the late-night altercation.
