Horry County Museum Opens New Exhibit on Revolutionary‑Era Life

Community invited April 11 for a free opening event exploring Horry County’s role in the American Revolution.

As the nation marks the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, the Horry County Museum is opening a new exhibit that highlights what daily life looked like in South Carolina and specifically Horry County during this pivotal era in American history.

Residents are invited to attend the grand opening on Saturday, April 11, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The exhibit will explore the region’s role in the Revolution, the challenges faced by early settlers, and the forces that shaped the community’s identity during the fight for independence.

The Horry County Museum is located at 805 N. Main Street in Conway. Admission is always free.
