Horry County Fire Rescue (HCFR) crews maintained a steady pace this past week, averaging 240 dispatched calls per day from Monday to Monday. This recent activity brings the department’s year-to-date total to more than 23,100 calls for 2026.
Amidst the high demand for emergency services, the department remains focused on readiness and training. HCFR is currently looking for new members to join their team to help serve the growing needs of the county.
