Local businesses and city staff contribute to spring beautification effort
WHITEVILLE, NC — Downtown planter pots have received their seasonal refresh, bringing new color and spring blooms to the city’s core.
City officials said the update is part of ongoing beautification efforts designed to keep the downtown district welcoming for residents, visitors, and local businesses. This season’s plantings were provided by Intracoastal Landscape Designs, Inc. and Squirrel Away Farm & Garden, LLC.
The City of Whiteville also recognized the continued work of the Whiteville Parks and Recreation team, which waters and maintains the planters throughout the season. Staff members play a key role in ensuring the flowers remain healthy as temperatures rise.
City leaders expressed appreciation for everyone involved in the project and noted that the refreshed planters are one of several efforts underway to enhance the appearance of downtown.
