SOUTHPORT, NC — A gas leak has forced the closure of the 200 and 300 blocks of West West Street, along with the 200 and 300 blocks of Caswell Avenue.
Residential homes in the affected area have been evacuated as a precaution while the gas company works to control the leak. Officials are urging drivers and residents to avoid the area until further notice.
