A patriotic morning parade and wreath‑laying ceremony will highlight Tabor City’s community celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary.

TABOR CITY, NC — Red, white, and blue will fill the streets of Tabor City on Saturday, June 27, as the Freedom Fest Parade steps off at 10:00 a.m. in honor of America’s 250th year. The annual celebration invites residents and visitors to enjoy a festive morning of hometown pride, patriotic decorations, and a shared sense of community spirit.

The parade will begin on North Main Street before traveling along Hickman Road, Live Oak Street, Pireway Road, and East Fifth Street, concluding on North Wall Street. Spectators can expect a colorful lineup of decorated entries, local groups, and classic small‑town parade charm as the procession moves through the heart of Tabor City.

Following the parade, a wreath‑laying ceremony will take place at the Garrell Depot is located at: 105 Railroad Street, offering a moment of reflection and gratitude for the generations who have shaped the nation’s history.
