Residents invited to pick up free food and connect with Health Department staff.
Whiteville, NC — A free community food give away will take place this Thursday, March 5, at 11:00 a.m. at the Columbus County Health Department, located at 304 Jefferson Street in Whiteville.
Residents are welcome to stop by and pick up free food items for themselves and their families. No registration or advance sign‑up is required.
The event offers an opportunity to receive nutritious food, meet Health Department staff, and connect with neighbors in a supportive setting. Organizers say the distribution is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen access to healthy resources across the county.
Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars for next month’s distribution, which will be held on April 9. The date has been adjusted to accommodate the Good Friday and Easter weekend schedule.
