Whiteville, NC — Emergency personnel from the North Whiteville Volunteer Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire that endangered a residential structure on Golf Course Road during the overnight hours of June 9.
Firefighters actively suppressed flames that had reached the exterior of the home, where a vehicle was parked in the driveway. The incident resulted in visible damage to both the vehicle and the home’s siding and windows; the vehicle is suspected to be a total loss.
