Amy’s Kitchen has issued a Class II recall for more than 180,000 cans of Organic Lentil Soup – Light in Sodium due to a defect in the easy‑open pull tab that may cause cans to spoil or lose integrity, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The recall covers 15,350 cases of soup produced under Lot 60D0924 with a best‑by date of April 2027. The affected product carries UPC 042272005833. No illnesses have been reported.
The FDA confirms the recalled soup was distributed in North Carolina and South Carolina, though the agency did not release a list of specific retailers where the product was sold. Any store that carries Amy’s canned soups could have stocked the affected lot.
Consumers should not eat the soup if they have a can matching the recalled lot. The product may be returned or discarded. Amy’s Kitchen has set up a consumer line at 888.943.4207 for questions.
