Select lots pulled after bacteria found; recall affects U.S., Puerto Rico, and Japan
Cardinal Health has issued a voluntary recall of select lots of Webcol™ Large Alcohol Prep Pads (70% isopropyl alcohol) after testing identified microbial contamination (Paenibacillus phoenicis).
The pads were distributed between September 2025 and February 2026. Use of contaminated pads may pose infection risks, particularly for immunocompromised patients.
