Ella Marie Soles Maiden, 83, of Chadbourn, went home to be with the Lord on Monday evening, July 13, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by those she loved.
A native of the China Grove Community, Ella was born on February 6, 1943, daughter of the late Pearlie Oscar Soles and Annie Bell Nobles Soles. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Howard Pearlie Soles and Mitchell Soles; and her son-in-law, Shane Presnell.
Funeral services will be rendered at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Worthington Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Hill Cemetery located at 476 James Nobles Road.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the service on Friday.
Ella was a kind-hearted soul who never met a stranger. She had a passion of caring for others and showing them the love of Christ. Ella was a member of the Fair Bluff Church of God, of which she attended faithfully until her health recently declined; Her sweet spirit and beautiful smile will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
To cherish her memory and legacy, Ella leaves behind her loving husband, Wilburn Maiden; children, Teresa Buffkin and husband, Ricky, Melissa Dial and husband, Delton, Beverly Whaley and husband, Peter, Keith Hill and wife, Bonnie, and Melody Maiden; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Rosa Soles Hammond of Fair Bluff and James Nobles and wife, Emily. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.
Memorials may be made to the Fair Bluff Church of God, in Ella’s memory.
