Al Harlie Gibson, Jr. age 72 of the Oak Dale community of Whiteville, passed away on Sunday evening at his residence.
Al was born on August 19, 1953, son of the late Almon Harlie Gibson, Sr. and Ada Sealey Gibson.
Celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Worthington Funeral Home with Mr. Danny Williams officiating.
Visitation will follow the service.
The surviving family includes his wife, Nancy Ruth Caulk Gibson; daughter, Allison Bowen (Dylan); grandson, Brooks Bowen; siblings, Frances G. Godwin (Jerry), Linda G. Strickland (Jerry), Billy “Tub” Gibson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Dementia research organization of your choice.
