Voters have today and Saturday left to cast a ballot before Primary Day rules take effect.

Early voting in Brunswick County is nearing its close, with only today (Friday) and Saturday, February 28 remaining for voters who want the flexibility of choosing any county site. Early voting began on February 12 and ends Saturday at 3:00 p.m., according to the Brunswick County Board of Elections.

During early voting, any registered voter may cast a ballot at any of the five county sites.

Locations include the Brunswick County Cooperative Extension in Bolivia, the Leland Cultural Arts Center, St. James Town Hall, the Brunswick Center at Supply, and the Sunset Beach Community Center.

All sites carry all ballot styles, and same‑day registration is available for those who need to update their name or address.

This primary determines which candidates advance to the November general election.

Contests include races for Governor, Council of State, U.S. House, N.C. Senate, N.C. House, judicial seats, and county‑level offices depending on district and party. Voters can check wait times through the county’s online tracker and review their sample ballot through the state’s voter lookup tool.

Once early voting ends Saturday, voters who have not yet cast a ballot will be required to vote only at their assigned precinct on Election Day, Tuesday, March 3.

Unlike early voting, Election Day does not allow voters to choose any site, and same‑day registration is not available.

Voters can confirm their Election Day precinct and view their sample ballot using the State Board of Elections’ Voter Search tool at vt.ncsbe.gov.
