Early voting for North Carolina’s 2026 Primary Election begins Thursday, giving Brunswick and Columbus County residents more than two weeks to cast their ballots ahead of Primary Day.

Voters can choose from five early voting sites in each county during the February 12–28 voting window.

What Voters Should Know Before Arriving

North Carolina requires voters to present a photo ID when casting a ballot in the 2026 Primary Election. Voters should bring an approved form of identification when checking in at any early voting site.

Same‑day registration is available at all early voting locations. Residents who are not yet registered can complete the process on‑site and vote during the same visit.

Cell phones, cameras, and video recording are restricted inside voting areas. Voters are asked to silence devices and avoid using them once they enter the voting enclosure.

Curbside voting is offered at every early voting site for individuals with disabilities or health conditions that make it difficult to enter the polling place. Signs outside each location direct voters to the designated curbside area.
