Horry County deputies located the suspect at a Conway residence after a request from McDowell County.
HORRY COUNTY, SC — The Horry County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested a North Carolina fugitive wanted on multiple child sex crime charges after receiving information that he was possibly living in Conway.
According to the sheriff’s office, investigators were contacted by the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office regarding Stephen Lee Bradshaw, who was wanted on charges of Statutory Rape and Indecent Liberties with a Child. Central Precinct deputies conducted follow‑up investigation and identified a residence on Dargan Lane in Conway as a possible location.
Bradshaw was taken into custody without incident on Monday, May 18, 2026. He was transported to J. Reuben Long Detention Center, where he is awaiting extradition back to North Carolina.
Everyone is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
