Cold‑Weather Advisory

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is urging residents to take precautions as temperatures are forecast to fall into the low 20s tonight, with some inland areas expected to dip into the teens. Officials warn that prolonged exposure to the cold can pose serious risks, particularly for older adults, young children, and individuals without adequate heat.

Residents are encouraged to limit time outdoors, dress in layers, and check on neighbors who may be vulnerable. Pets should be brought indoors, and authorities remind the public not to use ovens or grills as heating sources.
