Donation from the Hoyt family will help fund new archway, shade tree, and other improvements
Conway, SC — The Conway Dog Park will temporarily close this week as the city begins a series of upgrades designed to make the space more welcoming for residents and their four‑legged companions.
The project includes improvements to the park’s entryway along with additional enhancements throughout the grounds. City officials say the work is made possible in part through a generous donation from the family of David and Carol Hoyt, which will support construction of a new entry archway and the planting of a shade tree.
Projects like this continue Conway’s momentum as a community investing in shared spaces for all, including its canine residents and reflect the spirit that helped earn the city a place among just 20 All‑America City Award finalists nationwide.
A dedication recognizing the Hoyt family’s legacy will be held at the park once improvements are complete.
