SUNSET HARBOR, NC — The Brunswick County Fishing Club (BCFC) is kicking off the summer season with its annual Memorial Day weekend festivities on Saturday, May 23, 2026. The action-packed day features the signature Crab Crusher Red Drum Tournament, followed by a barbecue cookout and family Bingo night at the BCFC, located at 3911 Hickory View Drive SE in Sunset Harbor.
Club organizers emphasize that while the morning starts on the water, the afternoon and evening events are fully open to the public. Neighbors, visitors, and families do not need to participate in the tournament or hold a club membership to attend the cookout or evening activities.

7:00 a.m. – Crab Crusher Tournament Kickoff: Anglers hit the local waters for the “Crab Crusher Slam” Red Drum tournament.

4:30 p.m. – Memorial Day Cookout: Featuring BBQ chicken and barbecue pulled pork sandwiches. $12 plates, $7 sandwiches

7:00 p.m. – Family Bingo: A special holiday weekend edition of the club’s traditional Bingo night. $5.00 for 10 games, multiple cards available for purchase at a discount.
Tournament Details & Registration
Despite the “Crab Crusher” name, the tournament focuses on coastal Red Drum, paying homage to the fish’s natural diet of blue crabs.
