WHITEVILLE — Deputies responded to multiple calls Thursday and early Friday, including warrants, assaults, and property crimes across Columbus County.
LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER, WHITEVILLE — Deputy Aaron Dehne served a warrant for arrest at 5:27 a.m. (Incident 26‑1565).
LAKE WACCAMAW — Deputy Joshua Beaman investigated identity theft involving 66‑year‑old Claudey Dean Spaulding at 55 W E Spalding Circle (26‑1566).
HALLSBORO — A welfare check was conducted at 1296 Cherry Town Road (26‑1567) after minor damage to a back‑door frame was reported.
WHITEVILLE — Deputy Jordan Hunt documented a Schedule II drug offense involving fentanyl at 1255 Prison Camp Road (26‑1569).
MT. MORIAH BAPTIST CHURCH, CHADBOURN — Deputy Casey Ziegler responded to a simple assault (26‑1570). Victim Walter Lee Ward, 68, reported damage to eyeglasses and clothing totaling $480.
