1. Founders Park Water Feature Grand Opening
Kick off the weekend with a splash in Leland. The water feature at Founders Park officially opens for the season today, May 1. It’s a favorite local spot for kids to cool off and enjoy the spring sunshine.
2. Pollinator Pals at the Museum of Coastal Carolina
On Saturday, May 2, head over to Ocean Isle Beach for the “Pollinator Pals” program. Starting at 11:00 a.m., children can learn about the vital role bees and butterflies play in our coastal environment through hands-on activities.
3. Touch Tank Feeding
Get an up-close look at local marine life at the Museum of Coastal Carolina. The daily touch tank feeding at 11:00 a.m. allows kids to observe and learn about sea stars, horseshoe crabs, and other coastal creatures in a controlled, educational setting.
4. Laser K-Pop & David Bowie Shows
For a high-energy evening, the Ingram Planetarium in Sunset Beach is hosting special laser music shows. On Saturday night, you can catch Laser K-Pop at 6:00 p.m. followed by Laser Bowie at 7:00 p.m.
5. Children’s Story Time at the Library
Start Friday morning with the little ones at the Southwest Brunswick Branch Library in Carolina Shores. Their in-person story time begins at 10:30 a.m. and features interactive tales and activities for children ages newborn to five.
6. Exploring “Cosmic Colors”
