Road conditions are improving across Brunswick County, but several roads remain iced over and hazardous.
Clemmons Road and Gilbert Road in Bolivia continue to have significant icy patches, and drivers should use extreme caution in these areas.
If travel is unavoidable, reduce your speed, allow extra stopping distance, and watch for slick spots — particularly in shaded areas and on bridges. If you don’t need to be on the roads, the safest option is still to stay home a bit longer.
Brunswick County Deputies and NCDOT crews are actively monitoring and treating problem areas throughout the county. The Sheriff’s Office thanks residents for their patience and for looking out for one another during this storm.
