BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. — Local law enforcement agencies across Brunswick County processed 278 inmate bookings between late July and early August 2026, according to official detention center records released by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.
The bookings reflect law enforcement operations conducted by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Leland Police Department, Oak Island Police Department, Sunset Beach Police Department, Shallotte Police Department, Southport Police Department, Holden Beach Police Department, and state probation officers.
Sex Offenses & Crimes Against Children

Child Exploitation: Guy Babila, 52, of Supply, and Erik Nelson, 49, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., were both booked on charges of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Indecent Liberties: Xavier Espinoza, 25, of Supply, and Juan Mendez, 38, of Leland, were arrested on felony charges of indecent liberties with a child.

Child Exposure & Abuse: Hannah Galloway, 29, of Ocean Isle Beach, was charged with two counts of exposing a child to controlled substance ingestion. Timothy Lee, 56, of Calabash, was similarly charged with exposing children to a controlled substance. Skyanne Shepherd, 30, of Leland, was booked for misdemeanor child abuse.
Violent Crimes, Weapons & Assaults

Assault with Intent to Kill: Juan Bellamy, 48, of Supply, was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury (AWDWIKISI) and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Weapons Charges: Delroy Baker, 42, of Norris, S.C., and Craig McKamey, 36, of Southport, were charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. McKamey was additionally charged with exposing children to a controlled substance. Antoine Jackson, 34, of Southport, and Terrence Smith, 51, of Wilmington, were booked for carrying a concealed weapon.

Discharging Firearms: Seth Boysworth, 36, of Norwood, was charged with discharging a firearm to enclose fear.

Assaults on Officials: Derris Burns, 26, and Cory Zuber, 40, of Wilmington, were charged with assault on a government official/employee.

Stalking & Harassment: Nicholas Phillips, 34, of Bolivia, faces felony stalking charges. Tanner Bailey, 26, of Leland, was charged with cyberstalking, while Danny McLean, 51, and Leylanie Roberson, 24, both of Shallotte, were charged with misdemeanor stalking.
Narcotics & Drug Trafficking

Methamphetamine Trafficking: Jordan Scott, 22, of Stoneville, and Michael Stephens, 48, of Oak Island, were each booked on two counts of trafficking methamphetamine.

Amphetamines & Pharmacy Break-In: Marquez Austin, 31, of Columbia, S.C., faces three counts of trafficking amphetamine alongside a charge of breaking and entering a pharmacy.

Heroin & Cocaine Distribution: Robert Spear, 35, of Shallotte, was arrested for felony possession of heroin. William Pollock, 39, of Wilmington, was charged with two counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver (PWIMSD) cocaine. William Collins Jr., 28, of Ash, was charged with sell/deliver cocaine.

Prison Narcotics: Jason Turner, 38, of Snow Camp, was charged with possession of a controlled substance on prison/jail premises.
Break-Ins, Theft & Property Crimes

Habitual & Felony Break-Ins: Calvin Maynor, 46, of Greensboro, was arrested by Leland Police for habitual breaking and entering. Brent Shaw, 41, and Tiffany Shaw, 43, both of Winnabow, as well as Anael Hines, 20, of New Orleans, La., were charged with felony breaking and entering.

Larceny & Auto Theft: Travis Priest, 37, of Supply, was charged with misdemeanor larceny and larceny of a motor vehicle. Zachary Smith, 29, of Conway, S.C., faces felony larceny and three counts of misdemeanor larceny. Allen Williams, 32, of Raleigh, was booked for larceny after breaking/entering.

Juvenile Delinquency & Stolen Firearms: Charles Fullwood, 18, of Supply, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and larceny of a firearm.

Fleeing & Eluding: Franklin Soriano-Martel, 49, of Shallotte, was arrested by Southport Police for felony fleeing/eluding arrest with a motor vehicle.
Fugitives & Extradition

Out-of-State Fugitives: Thomas Knight, 28, of Supply; Kerry Johnson, 53, of Supply; Keontrail Wilson, 29, of Longs, S.C.; Elfonza Riggins, 40, of Shallotte; and Stephen Flora, 43, of Boiling Spring Lakes, were all booked on fugitive/extradition warrants from other jurisdictions. Alison Plank, 52, of Collingdale, Pa., was held on a Governor’s Warrant.
Impaired Driving (DWI)

State Troopers and municipal officers arrested more than a dozen individuals for Driving While Impaired (DWI/DUI). Among those charged were Richard Bain, 34, of Winnabow; Joanna Bertorelli, 35, of Leland; James Boyd, 32, of Albemarle; Elder Castillo-Gonzalez, 23, of Conway, S.C.; Hunter Coleman, 26, of Winston-Salem; Greg Dragos, 61, of Calabash; John Gowd, 69, of Leland; Grant Gunther, 20, of Supply; Elisabeth Harney, 25, of Wilmington; Jesus Hernandez-Diaz, 22, of Warsaw; Richard LoGrippo, 27, of Oak Island; Alfredo Marquez-Gonzalez, 31, of Calabash; Haven Nance, 27, of Chadbourn; Elijah Sagreda, 28, of Northwest; Thomas Smith, 56, of Lumberton; Keyon Waddell, 26, of Leland; and Shalaya Walden, 21, of Fort Valley, Ga.
