Columbus County Water & Sewer District I has issued a boil water advisory following a main line break that disrupted flow and triggered emergency repairs. The advisory affects several roads in the district, including portions of Peacock Road, Kenny Jordan Road, Will Inman Road, Miller Road, and others.
Officials warn that water discoloration may occur due to reversed flow in the system. Residents in the affected areas are urged to boil all water intended for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth until further notice. The system is expected to stabilize within 24 hours.
