Anita Helene Flynn Hewett passed away May 12, 2026. She was born August 14,1959, to Amanda Helene Flynn and Charles Ray Flynn Sr. in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Anita was a graduate of Acme Delco Highschool, class of 1977. She went on to graduate from Southeastern Community College in 1982 with a degree in Cosmetology-A license she was proud of and would uphold for many decades.
She enjoyed reading romance novels, hairdressing, playing games, numerous movie genres (especially Lifetime Movie Network), social media and online shopping. She also loved an ice-cold Coca Cola and a fresh, hot cup of coffee with cream.
She is preceded in death by her parents-Charles and Helene, her brother, Charles Ray Flynn Jr, and a sister, Kathy Raye Brite.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Terry Hewett of the home, her three children, Allen, Justin (Tatiana), and Aubrey (Joseph), one grandchild, Amy, and her beloved dog, Buttercup. She is also survived by her sister, Bonnie Parks, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
The family has planned a private memorial service at the Delco Cemetery.
