The City of Conway project brings stormwater overhaul, new sidewalks, angled parking, and streetscape improvements near Collins Park
Park View Road in Conway, South Carolina will close beginning this Friday, February 27 between 16th Avenue and 17th Avenue for approximately three months as the city launches a major infrastructure improvement project.
The work includes a full stormwater system overhaul with upgraded drainage, full‑depth paving, new curb and gutter, water line improvements, new sidewalks, landscaping, and street trees. The redesign also converts parallel parking to angled parking, increasing available spaces while naturally slowing traffic and improving safety around Collins Park.

City officials say the project is expected to deliver several long‑term community benefits:
– Safer streets through traffic‑calming design
– Increased parking availability
– Improved walkability and pedestrian access
– Upgraded drainage infrastructure
– Enhanced curb appeal with new landscaping and streetscape features
The project is funded through the RIA SCIIP Grant. City leaders thank residents and visitors for their patience as crews work to create a safer, more accessible, and more attractive corridor.
