Ernestine (Teenie) Marshall Thomas, 86, of Hallsboro passed peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, while in the loving care of the Angel House Care Center Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.

Teenie was born in White Plains, North Carolina in 1939 to the late Edward McKinley Marshall and Ella Mae Jones Marshall. She was preceded in death by three sisters and six brothers, and a grandson, Floyd Scratch Butler.
Celebration of life service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 22026, at Abundant Life Assembly of God with Pastor John Beattie officiating. The family will speak to friends following the service.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sisters: Alice Irene Hicks, Lorene Rabon (Roland); Children: Jeffrey Thomas (Mary), Wayne Thomas (Donna), Richard Thomas (Lisa), Merlin Thomas (Glenda), Alice Paul (Travis); Grandchildren: Sabrina Kioseff (Bobby), Kailey Paul (Chase), Karly Paul, April Thomas (Steve), Kari Powell (Clint), Kathryn Crib (Vee), Glenn Thomas (Hannah), Michael Thomas (Deanna), Zachary Thomas, Dylan Thomas (Liz), Ricky Thomas (Arielle) and Shelly Butler; 18 Great Grandchildren; 5 Great Great Grandchildren; Loving Friends: Joyce Sarvis, Shelby Patrick, Sharon Ward, Louise Phillips
Special thanks to the Shoreland Healthcare staff for the wonderful care provided to Ernestine during her stay. The family also extends their appreciation to the Angel House Lower Cape Fear LifeCare for their gentle and caring service in her final hours.
